Personal Bio..

Michael has been a residential REALTOR^® since 1983 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and has been with ERA Shields Real Estate as a top-producing agent since 1986 and is the Branch Broker for the North main office. He believes in giving back to his Associations and profession and has served as a Director and President / Chairman of the Board of the Pikes Peak Association of REALTORS^® in Colorado and numerous positions such as a Director, Vice-President, State Treasurer and was President of the Colorado Association of REALTORS^® in 2006. He served as an Officer for the National Association of REALTORS^® in 2016 as Vice President and a member of the Leadership Team and the Board of Directors and is a graduate of the NAR Leadership Academy.

He is a member of the REALTOR^® Land Institute, holds the CIPS, CRS, CSP, e-PRO, GRI & GREEN designations and the C2EX Endorsement. He was involved from the beginning and Chaired the C2EX Committee in 2018 when the platform was launched.  Recognized by the Colorado Springs Business Journal as one of the Top 25 Most Influential People in Colorado Springs Real Estate and by Broker Associate Magazine as Broker of the Month.

In 2007, Michael was honored as REALTOR^® of the Year for PPAR and in 2009 he was chosen and recognized as REALTOR^® of the Year for the Colorado Association of REALTORS^®, the most prestigious award given by the State Association. Other honors include two-tier RPAC Hall of Fame member, Golden R, Presidents Circle, REALTOR^® Emeritus, Omega Tau Rou and RLI APEX Producers Award.

He has represented numerous production and custom builders as a Marketing Director and is an expert in New Construction. Married to wife Laurie for 40 years, Michael and Laurie have sponsored numerous cadets for the USAF Academy. Their passion is travel and following and attending Formula 1 and Open Wheel Indy Car racing events all over the world.
